There is so much I love about this! FIRST, just the fact that this is a tradition is awesome and far too rare these days. But for your son to go on a date with your daughter - how sweet is that! Christopher and Samantha were best friends when they were little. But over the past year he had started having a hard time showing love for her. So it encourages me to know that this stage can pass! And I LOVE the people who paid for them!
But the real thrill of this story is that you went to God - you talked to Him, let Him know how much you needed Him - and He answered in just the perfect way! How easy it is when you get busy to focus on what really matters. How much easier life is when you look through those lenses - will this further God's kingdom? Is it something He commanded of me? If the answer is no to both, then take it off the schedule and off your mind!
